No, the lights and servos were not. The weight with servos and wing tips with the lights installed will be 2.366 lbs
Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane
I haven't got much done on the Cessna , But I did decide on a color scheme. It's a Cessna 182R Skyline II that the Coast Guard has. I wanted something a little different than the standard color schemes. I ordered the Monokote. I have a lot of prepping and sanding to do. So not much in the way of pictures for a while. Here is a picture of the color scheme.
Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane
Here is some pictures of the 182 almost ready to cover. I did some filling and sanding getting it ready to cover. I just want to get the wing struts done before I cover it and will be doing that next.
Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane
I worked on the wing struts. The kit came with ABS plastic strut flaring that had to be cut out and fitted to the struts and the body and wing. Then you have to fill them with Epoxy and Mircoballons and refit to body and wing. They came out fairly good , all things considered.
Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane
I worked on the flaring on the landing gear. More trimming and filling ABS plastic.
Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane
Well thanks to the cold weather I got a little work done on the Cessna. Here's some pictures.
Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane
The more I work on the Cessna , the more I see that needs to be done. I finally got started on the covering . I will be doing it a little at a time, while working on some detailing of the parts. The ARF parts I bought needs to be sanded and primed to get them ready to paint to the new color scheme. I've decided to go with the Coast Guard color scheme. The one I found is from New Zealand .It's in the Auckland Coast guard. It's the one I found the most pictures of. Their Web Site is http://www.coastguard.org.nz/auckland_a ... d23f4a8de2

Ok. So now I can bring mine over and you'll cover it too....?

Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Skylane
You may have to wait a year , That's how long it will take me to do mine.
