Westside R/C Flyers

Good news for some of us. Shawnee Thunderbirds are advertising in December AMA Aviator magazine they are hosting their swap meet in Prague in January on the 11th. That has been a good event in the past, good draw from that side of the state. And usually the first of the trading season. Maybe a chance to pick up spare parts from someone else’s “learning curve” experiences, or a way to clean out your garage from your own? it’s listed in the back under non-flying events for January.

I attended the Shawnee Thunderbirds swap meet in Prague America.

Cons:
Not very well attended due to possible weather concerns?
Although a small Turnout Westside did have 4 or 5 shoppers on hand!

Pros:
Road conditions were excellent considering the recent snows we had!
I took one airplane kit and sold it in about 10 minutes....That's a plus
I maintained my limited will power and didn't purchase anything I didn't need, another plus in my books!
Went with Kbob and Dbot afterwards to a local bakery on main street for biscuits and such!

Overall a really good day with a note to self: Next year return to that Czech bakery on main street

Really wanted to go..... didn’t! Maybe next year?
