This Saturday October 19th we will have a “MEMBERS ONLY FUN FLY” that going forth will be named
WSRC FALL FLING!
A normal person might ask what is that and what’s involved in participating??
Well, WSRC members that have been in the club for a long time (Let’s just say Experienced) understand that there are officers in the club that just beat to a different drummer than most! With that said here is the Lowdown, Rules, and details on what’s about to transpire!
• What time does the gate open?
Whenever the first member unlocks the gate, I guess. But the actual fun fly doesn’t start until 1pm after everyone has eaten a scrumptious meal and the temperature has gotten a little warmer, but yes come out to practice whenever you want!
• What can I fly during the event?
Anything you bring if it is within the club’s established guidelines! Nope you can’t bring that 100cc torcher that you’ve had in the garage
But any electrics, glows or Gassers within the guidelines are welcome.• Am I limited to one aircraft?
Does a Zebra of spots…Guess not so bring as many planes as you can haul in your Aircraft Carrier!
• Are there any specific maneuvers I must perform to participate?
Heck no take-off and landings are all that’s required!
• What’s the catch?
No catch you are given a ticket every time you fly your airplane for more than 4 minutes your given a ticket to place in the hopper. At 4pm the hopper will be spun, and the winners’ tickets will be drawn. The lucky individuals can expect a price that is valued somewhere between a 2025 Tesla, or a family sized can of pringles!! Granted the budget is tight with presidential elections coming soon so I’m expecting the prize values will be closer to the latter. Sometimes reality just doesn’t meet expectations
The master rule overriding everything mentioned above is that the goober running the show can, will and just almost always changes the rules on the fly☹!
Now to the good stuff…. Food!
• Lunch will be served somewhere between 11:30 and noon and this won’t be a normal Westside menu. The club is going all out on a food extravaganza! What is it one ponders…. Show up and enjoy, even if you aren’t ready to fly everyone must eat!!
