Haven't flown in several months so I decided I needed something very "forgiving" to knock off the rust. I had this plane on the shelf for about 18 months and thought what the heck...
SPECIFICATIONS:
Wing Span: 78 in.
Wing Area: 1148 sq. in.
Length: 65 in.
Flying Weight: 8 - 8.5 lbs. (3629 - 3856 g)
Wing Loading: 16.0 - 17.0 oz./sq.ft. (49-52 g/dm2)
Radio: 4-Channel with 5 Standard Servos
Glow Power: .40-.53 cu.in. (6.5-8.7 cc) 2-Stroke Engine
.50-.61 cu.in. (8.1-10 cc) 4-Stroke Engine
Electric Power: Brushless Outrunner Motor (600-1100w; 500-800kv)
Busted it open on Saturday night 3/5/16

- New in Box

- Looking for damage or maybe dry rot from sitting on the shelf!
Started with the Ailerons on Sunday afternoon 3/6/16

- CA those hinges!

- Same game on other side and work on aileron control horns / rods

- Wings with aileron servos and control rods completed, holding up freezer

- Landing gear before tail surfaces? Didn't make sense but I followed the instructions, test fitted them to fuse then removed for mounting stab

- Project Supervisor / Dog treat specialist

- Have to wait for the Horizontal's epoxy to dry before continuing
As of Thursday Night

- Glued on the vertical stab Tuesday night. Wednesday attached elevator, rudder and all rear pushrods. Have to pace myself...
Next update....Saturday since it will likely be wet!

Latest Update....
Well the servos are all in, the switch, receiver and battery are kind of tossed in the fuselage until time to balance the model. I'm kind of hung up on the engine mounting which is forward of the suggested plans by about 3/8 of an inch. Playing with several options to get it closer to the firewall before heading on but won't let it hold me up to much since I want to get this bird in the air ASAP
