Well, another year starting and it was a good day to get your first flight of the year in. We had 10 members completed their first flights today, a good start for this years contest. All that is required is for you to make at least one flight every month in the coming year. So everyone who started with a flight today, keep it going. It only takes 11 more flights to complete it. Just post your flights here every month and before you know it twelve flights will be logged. Remember, it only takes one takeoff and landing a month, not a big time commitment. So why not give it a shot. At the end of the year we have a prize drawing for all members who complete the challenge.

First one at the field today! Really SLOW starter battery, so I had to charge it to start a REALLY COLD motor. Big D got the first flight of the year, but I got the first flight for me! Started the second quarter-century with a couple (three?) flights. Last of my coffee, and enjoyed the best day of the year, so far! Had some chili 🌶 and another flight. Talked to several old friends I haven’t seen in a while, and enjoyed the day COMPLETELY! Hope we get a few more like this during the winter! :P

February flights are in. What a great day at the field. We had 8 members, one guest and multiple visitors out taking advantage of the great weather.
Made 7 flights today, 6 were successful. I was giving my Citation one last try before deciding whether to retire it or not. Landing with gusty winds and getting too slow on final is not the best idea. The plane stalled and snapped in from 4 feet  time to retire it. There is still time to get in the fun, just log your January flight and do a flight each month for the rest of the year. If nothing else it gives you a good excuse to fly regularly. Now on to March.

I'm not sure we could ask for a better day to fly than we had on the first weekend of February. Great turnout at the field for some perfect winter flying!

Under the wire! Barely. Got to flights in today, with several ‘touch and goes’,to prove I meant to do all of it. Was just having a good time when there was an odd increase of helicopter traffic. I could hear them, but the sun made it hard to scan around too long at a time. Good day on the worlds oldest LT40. wonder how many hours on that airframe?! Kelsey watched on as I flew his old plane. He built it in 2000. I saw it in the background pictures of a couple of posted builds
Now, nine more months to go!

1st day of March and a nice day of flying. Six members made it out with five getting their March flights in. It was a little breezy at times, but not too hateful. Made a few flights with the gasser and ran the racer a couple of laps against Big D. A little slow going into the wind but a good time. Ready for the warmer weather and time change, more flying time. :D On to April!
