All Season Flyers 2024

Started a few years back as the 2020 Challenge this program now extends into it's 6th flying season with a few hard core individuals successfully flying every month since the program started! All you have to do is fly once every month during the year, sounds easy but has proven very difficult as many pilots can attest too!

November is done. Took advantage of the nice day before the monsoons come this weekend and got a flight in. Was going to get a couple of more in but had some field maintenance to take care of. A couple of other club members made it out having the same idea. Rob, Steven and returning member Truong Vu got some flights in. Hard to believe only one more month and we have another year completed. :D

Veterans Day flight. Not at all a military mission, but I did do my November flight! Missed a couple of earlier opportunities, but this day made up for them. Incredible weather, literally perfect flying conditions! Met Kelsey for our usual outing, and we shared the skies until nearly sunset, then a quick burger at Braum’s, and an entertaining club meeting to cap it all off. Couldn’t ask for more!

Another year is in the books. :D Went out today with Big D and finished up my December flight. Only made one, my receiver battery was reading a little low after the flight and I wasn't going to push my luck. A little breezy and a little chilly but right down the run way. Don't forget we start all over again at the January 1st Chili Fly. Give it a shot next year, it is a good way to push yourself to get to the field at least once a month for some relaxation.

Gor’er DONE! Kelsey and put on parkas and long johns and went flying! Fog was ok, but the mist was terrible and then a breeze came up! We still ‘fired-em-up’ and did the take off, two laps, and landings.(I did a down wind loop just to show off!).
So, thats all twelve months for 2025! Now the Christmas meeting and we’re good until New Year’s Day!
